Web Developer & Designer

At S&S Activewear I was one of the two Web Developer and Designers who worked on maintaining and updating the companies websites across USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. Being a large B2B (business-to-business) eCommerce company, the websites were built using ASP.NET and C# technologies into a custom CMS. My duties included devling into the vast processes from knowing how to get code setup, built and tested from a local development environment and the same into production. Those duties varied from updating imagery, content or adding a new design feature, section or page to the website. Either designing it in-house ourselves utilizing our design system or often retrieving a design file from an outsourced agency and from there tailoring it to fit our design system. Sounds straightforward but the processes and tooling involved to successfully build, test and launch into production can get complex.

Clothing Shop Online is a company owned by S&S Activewear which also sells apparel but focused on the B2C (business-to-consumer) sales model. There's definitely a lot more freedom here in terms of design and development. Aside from helping with their digital marketing efforts like I do for S&S Activewear, I also worked on establishing their first design system that i've slowly started to implement into production.

E-Commerce Webmaster
April 2019 - April 2021 (In-House)
At AFT Fasteners I was responsible for maintaing and updating their website built on BigCommerce. I focused on product inventory management and product listing development. As a local business focused on manufacturing and selling fasteners, they also sold them online eventually becoming a distributor for larger companies selling their products on our store. Duties included using tools like Adobe Photoshop for image optimization, Excel for data manipulation and bulk importing product to adding custom development where need on product listing pages.
As a Web Developer who comes from a design background originally,
it’s been nice over years working in the world of the web and to
see it come full circle for me. By learning a tool like Figma,
contributing to design systems, working with designers and
focusing on accessibility standards has made me a better developer
on how to build and optimize for the web.
After working in custom CMS’s to more popular CMS’s like
Wordpress, Shopify, BigCommerce and Webflow, i’m looking for
something similar with the ability to add custom HTML, CSS and
basic JavaScript where necessary.
Dapper Cuts Barbershop
Designed in Adobe XD and developed with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Dapper Cuts Barbershop needed an easy to use web presence for their new established business for potential clients to learn more about their business and book an appointment. The goal for me was to get them ranked locally, ultimately earning the #1 position for a couple of keywords now generating 2,000 Pageviews/Month utilizing SEO best practices.
Foxglove Digital
Designed in Figma and Developed in Webflow for the solo studio of Kayla Brandts of Foxglove Digital. Kayla’s goal was to finally have a modern digital presence online as a digital marketer where she can send potential clients to learn more about her work, send specific project information and book a call. We chose Webflow as the CMS of choice to allow her to update and maintain her website easily.
Alex John Bready
Alex John Bready is a Los Angeles based Tattoo Artist who recently relocated to Pasadena, California and needed a website presence for his services. Because he was interested in selling his own products, we decided to build his website on top of a Shopify Premium Theme where I designed and did custom development for specific sections he wanted to best fit his branding, services and to book appointments.
